About Dr. Newman

Dr. Newman is a born and raised Arizonan and a licensed naturopathic physician in the state of Arizona. She received her medical degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Sonoran University of Health Sciences, formerly Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Tempe, Arizona. She also holds bachelor’s degrees in Physiology and Spanish Literature from the University of Arizona.

While attending SCNM, Dr. Newman discovered a deep love of acupuncture and found it to be an important tool in the process of healing as it aids in not only symptom relief but also strengthening the Vis, i.e. the vital force in each of us to heal ourselves. She strongly believes in seeking the root cause of health conditions to ensure that the whole body is treated and not just the symptoms experienced. Treating the whole person often requires varied modalities including, but not limited to, lifestyle changes, botanical medicine, homeopathy, mind body medicine, acupuncture, and dietary counseling.

In her free time, when she’s not working with her hands through cooking, baking, sculpting, and painting, she enjoys a good Netflix binge session, spending time in nature, and relaxing with family and friends.
